About the art of KULCSAR Agnes
 
“Colours, crackings, surfaces, trees, leaves, flowers, pictures, papers on top on each other. Rhythms, inward growing outside bursting particles. Harmony spreading from within.”
The landscapes and interiors of KULCSAR Agnes represent a common but unique world. They are similar to the sites surrounding us and recall specific details and general sites from nature such as flowers, leaves, threes and hills. At the same time the images are derived, playful and dreamlike. They are reduced to primary forms and seem to be radiant with colours. Viewing these images feels as if we were flicking through a wonderful picturebook. They contain children’s drawings, paper cuttings and as well as other fragments and provide a delight for our eyes. In the meantime we can also sense the deeper layers and identify fundamental structures and primary forms.  The artist’s delight in her creatures is manifest. Nature – her main motive – invocates opportunities to marvel at the creation and inspires the artist to create her own pictorial universe.  Various spaces and times are synchronized in Kulcsar’s works that have a strong aura. The viewers can enjoy the vistas but can also immerse themselves in the meticulous details.
